The Practice

Four disciplines. One conversation.

We operate across the decisions that determine whether a business merely grows or actually compounds. Engagements are bespoke; the starting point is always the same - a candid conversation about where you are and where you need to get to.

§01 - Strategy

Strategy

- Where to play. How to win.

Strategy is the discipline of choosing what to do - and being clear about what you won't. We work with leadership teams at inflection points: entering new markets, repositioning against stronger competition, rethinking the operating model, or preparing for a transaction. Our process is structured but never rigid. We start with the facts - market dynamics, competitive intelligence, internal performance data - and then challenge the assumptions that have gone unexamined for too long. The output is a clear strategic direction, a roadmap with genuine priorities, and the conviction to act on it. We don't produce reports that sit on shelves. We stay in the room until the decisions are made.

01

Strategic Review & Roadmap

A full audit of your current position - competitive, commercial, operational - followed by a prioritised plan for the next twelve to thirty-six months.

02

Market Entry & Expansion

Rigorous analysis of new markets, customer segments, or geographies, with a clear go/no-go recommendation and an entry plan if the case stacks up.

03

Competitive Positioning

Clarity on where you can win and why. We define the differentiated territory you can own and help you articulate it with precision.

04

Operating Model Design

Aligning structure, processes, and people to the strategy - so the organisation can actually deliver what the board has agreed.

05

M&A Advisory

Target identification, strategic fit assessment, and support through the process - buy-side or sell-side - including preparation for due diligence.

06

Board & Investor Narrative

Translating strategy into a compelling story for boards and investors - ensuring the case for the direction is as clear externally as it is internally.

§02 - Sales

Sales

- Revenue that compounds, not just converts.

Most sales organisations grow reactively - adding headcount when targets slip, discounting when pipeline dries up, and hoping the next quarter corrects itself. We design commercial engines that work methodically. That means the right go-to-market architecture, a team built to perform rather than simply fill seats, and pricing that reflects the value you deliver rather than the number you need to hit. We embed alongside your commercial leadership, not above them. We are not here to run the function for you - we are here to build something that works when we leave. The results should compound: better win rates, shorter cycles, higher average contract values, and a pipeline you can actually rely on.

01

Go-to-Market Diagnostic

An honest assessment of your current commercial model - where deals are won, where they stall, what the team is actually doing versus what the playbook says.

02

Commercial Team Design & Hiring

Defining the roles you need, the profile that fits, and the structure that scales - then supporting the search and onboarding process.

03

Pricing & Packaging

Moving from cost-plus to value-based: building a pricing model that captures more of the value you create and simplifies the buying decision.

04

Channel & Partnership Strategy

Identifying and building the indirect routes to market that extend your reach without proportionally extending your cost base.

05

Sales Process & CRM Optimisation

Designing the repeatable process from first contact to close, and making sure your CRM reflects reality rather than wishful thinking.

06

Revenue Forecasting & Pipeline Governance

Building the methodology behind revenue forecasting - so the business can commit to numbers with confidence and understand the gap between expectation and reality in real time.

§03 - Finance

Finance

- Clarity, control, and the confidence to grow.

Most founder-led businesses outgrow their financial infrastructure before they realise it. By the time the board wants better reporting, or an investor asks for a model, there is already a scramble. We provide CFO-grade thinking without the overhead - building the controls, models, and financial narrative that give investors confidence and give founders genuine visibility into their own business. Whether you are preparing for a fundraise, navigating a difficult year, or simply trying to understand where the margin actually goes, we bring rigour without bureaucracy. Finance should be a tool for decision-making, not a function that produces reports nobody reads.

01

Fundraising Preparation

Structuring your financial story for investors - the model, the metrics, the narrative - and preparing management to handle the scrutiny of a due diligence process.

02

Financial Modelling

Three-statement models built for decision-making: scenario analysis, sensitivity testing, and outputs that non-finance stakeholders can actually use.

03

Cash Flow & Working Capital

Understanding and managing the cash dynamics of your business - forecasting, optimising the cycle, and avoiding the surprises that derail otherwise healthy companies.

04

Board Reporting & Management Information

Designing the reporting pack that the board and leadership actually need: the right KPIs, the right cadence, and commentary that drives action.

05

Finance Function Design

Assessing what you have, defining what you need, and either building it internally or supporting an interim arrangement while the hire is made.

06

Covenant & Lender Management

Managing the relationship with debt providers - preparing covenant packs, handling waivers, and ensuring the business communicates with lenders before situations become crises.

§04 - Operations

Operations

- Where strategy meets the floor.

Strategy without execution is theory. Operations is where intent meets reality - the processes that either scale or break, the people who step up or stall, the performance systems that drive behaviour or gather dust. We work on the operational core: how the business actually runs day to day, how decisions are made and by whom, and how performance is measured and improved in a way that sticks. This work often follows a transaction or a rapid growth phase, when the machinery built for the old scale is no longer fit for the new one. It is always practical, always specific to the business in front of us, and always designed to outlast our involvement. The goal is a business that can run well without us.

01

Operational Due Diligence

An independent assessment of operational capability - identifying the gaps, the risks, and the quick wins before or after a transaction.

02

Process Redesign & Optimisation

Mapping the processes that matter, identifying where value is lost, and redesigning the workflow so that quality and throughput both improve.

03

Organisational Design & Leadership

Defining the structure that the strategy requires, assessing whether the current team can get there, and planning the transitions carefully.

04

Performance Management Frameworks

Building the systems - goals, metrics, reviews, accountability - that turn intent into consistent behaviour across the organisation.

05

Post-Acquisition Integration

Managing the operational complexity of bringing two businesses together: people, systems, processes, and culture, with a clear hundred-day plan.

06

Technology & Systems Review

Assessing digital and operational systems against the demands of scale - identifying where legacy tools, manual processes, or fragmented data are costing time, money, and visibility.
